VRI - Competition Law Guidelines
Abstract (Complete Version is under revision):
VRI is committed to ensuring lawful practice, and organises its association work in strict compliance with German and European competition law. In the interest of VRI and their members, the bodies are committed to avoiding any potential breaches of competition law in all association activities. In particular, agreements and concerted practices, which have as object or effect the prevention or restriction of competition, are prohibited.
Competition law prohibits agreements, which inter alia fix prices, terms and conditions, and the disclosure of sensitive company- or market data. Competition law prohibits not only agreements but also concerted actions by businesses, which may lead to similar results. As a rule, prior to each meeting a fixed agenda will be created and documented. These rules are binding for all those involved in VRI association work and serve to protect both the association and its members.
